Near Cahuita National Park, 130 miles South of San José, the capital of Costa Rica, we’ll also be close to two other national parks. This area contains Costa Rica’s most significant rainforest and protected areas and is home to some of the greatest examples of eco diversity and coral reef in the county.
You’ll be staying in a secluded lodge off the beaten track, high on the hillside of a spectacular lush rainforest with breathtaking views of the ocean. We have chosen a place where ecological awareness has been translated into beauty and sustainability. Each hardwood bungalow has its own bathroom and balcony, from where you can observe brilliantly coloured butterflies, mischievous monkeys, and flocks of toucans all living in harmony with us.The lodge is a sustainable operated, ecologically sound oasis that will offer you an unparalleled opportunity to absorb the healing and rejuvenating power of nature. All of the vegetarian cuisine offered comes from locally grown and, whenever possible, organic foods incorporating culinary influences from all over the world.
Indigenous communities still live in the nearby mountains and in the jungle further south; a hidden world of strong and ancient traditions and customs at least 1,000 years old. Here, the Latino lifestyle gives way to Afro Caribbean culture and music, so we’ll be swaying to reggae and calypso!
