We will be based in northern Patagonia, a 2-hour plane ride from Buenos Aires and just 35 minutes away from the well-known town of Bariloche. Bariloche is the gateway to the northern Patagonian Andes and an internationally renowned mountain resort, famous for its wonderful skiing in winter and its unique beauty in spring, summer and fall.
This spot of paradise embodies in one location all of the splendours that Patagonia has to offer. Nestled within the grounds of the first and largest national park in Argentina, the Nahuel Huapi National Park, the lodge is surrounded by 500 acres of pristine forests, creeks and waterfalls within the Lake District, and 2 miles of lakeshore at the foot of Mount Catedral.
From here, we will have easy access to the area’s stunning trails and ‘refugios’ (mountain refuges) which make hiking in Argentina such a unique experience. Kayaking is at our doorstep on the calm lake waters as are the optional activities of horse back riding and Ziplining for the more adventurous. There will be opportunities to birdwatch and many other surprises in store for you!
