Water for weight loss!

When on one of our retreats we always reminding everyone of the importance of hydrating, especially during exercise. But often when at home and at work people tend to forget to drink water – Martin is not there to yell out “water break!” for starters. Since our bodies are around 70% it makes sense that we work better and feel better when well hydrated. It’s interesting to note that thirst is often mistaken for hunger. So you can be eating your way through the day, when your body is crying out for water!

There are numerous studies that link drinking water to weight loss. Next time you feel peckish reach for your water bottle first. Wait 20 minutes after drinking the water to re-evaluate whether you really need that extra snack after all.
